The Imperial War Museum book of the Somme

This book was presented to the Collection by Mrs Irene Badsworth, in memory of her late husband. The price quoted is our estimate of its value. This book, which was produced in association with the imperial War Museum (where the author worked) offers "a remarkably fresh perspective on the whole campaign, including the later engagements" (publisher's notes). The book is a narrative accompanied by the many and varied accounts by well over a hundred participants - mainly British but with some Germans as well.
