Freeing the Baltic

This book was presented to the Collection by Mr. Robert Noble. The price quoted is our estimate of its value. The book was originally published in 1964 by Collins, London as "Cowan's War". This Birlinn edition, 38 years later, has been revised by Rodney M. Bennett, the original author's son. It is a well written and reasonably comprehensive account of the British Naval Expedition to North Russia/Baltic, which achieved some rather impressive results. It fills in parts of the story of the Allied Intervention very successfully.
